Hoping to snag some free beer by helping a brewery owner reclaim her business, goofy brothers Bob (Todd Congelliere) and Doug (Hal Ba Dal) end up battling criminal Brewmeister Smith (Tito Hagler), who plans to take over the world by releasing his hypnotic suds to the public. Can the beer-guzzling masses count on these “hosers” to save the day? Shanty Cheryl and J Blast also star in this gut-busting vintage comedy.
I really wanna give you the Lou Gehrig speech when talking about this new Arrivals album. Let’s just say were all lucky! Volatile Molotov, due out Oct 5th, is the band’s grand opus! I really didn’t think it was possible to top Marvels of Industry but they really did. And there is no “in my opinion” type crap here. Now just to give you a feeling of what’s about to happen we are offering a listen to the track “Front Line”. This will only give you a peak as this album listens like a classic novel. Yet easy to hear.

Todd Congelliere has been around. He runs Recess Records, was in FYP, Toys That Kill, Underground Railroad to Candyland, Stoned at Heart and probably a bunch of other bands that I’m forgetting at the moment! He is the man of his times. And now he brings us his first solo record, Clown Sounds! A solid rock n roll album from start to finish, this is one of punk’s finest songwriters!

HOT NEW MEXICANS from Athens, GA emailed me some songs that was intended to go on a , at the time , homeless album. I was pretty damn blown away 2 songs in. Played with em, met em briefly, dug their Fast Crowd 7″, but this stuff was just mind blowing! First thing that came to my mind was that it was a hybrid of The Arrivals and Torrance’s own Nip Drivers. That’s a strange strange STRANGE combo but it made me freak a lil harder about the songs. It was just something you won’t hear everyday. But i was swamped and my hands were tied with pressing plant “issues”. Enter Houseplant Records! I’m glad to be a part of this with them. They only have a few releases so far but hey sure are batting 1000!

The Riverdales follow up last year’s “Invasion USA” with “Tarantula,” 30 minutes of their heaviest yet catchiest songs to date. Initially meant to be part of “Invasion USA,” these tunes stood out on their own enough to be their own beast.
In these parts, RIverdales-Storm The Streets, is considered a cultish,godlike slab. Tarantula carries on with the great Foster/Schafer songwriting team. As well as being complimented with the Justin Perkins production. “12 to the Moon” was considered a classic weeks before release date. And if you wanna talk up the Ramones reference, well then we can clock in with this era’s “Baby Sitter/Bonzo/Something to Believe In” via “Soultaker”. I am comfortable saying that.
LP is packaged in a hefty gatefold (as well as limited colored vinyl)
CD sports the infamous digipak.
