berzerk & the crumbs are in the studio as i type recording for theyre ep and full length respectively. berzerk-this silence kills 10"/cdep will (trust me ...please) be the bands best work to date! i heard some instrumentation while acting out the bit part of executive gopher,tito rabit is still up in pdx's A-hole making sure the "this shit fuckin rocks dude!" button is always pressed. while i havent heard any of the crumbs yet im pretty damn sure its gonna be slice your nuts good! i think theyre last album was brilliant,they have the balls to totally re-invent themselves,instead of sticking to the "baby formula"(hey thats my new definition for albums that bands keep remaking over and over again only to keep theyre sheepish fans happy enough to keep buying,fuck you).well they are in austin,tx right now going for it. both releases are planned for november so keep your eyelids sliced off.

thanx lots to all that attended the last FYP show (and the shows surrounding it). t'was indeed one of the best show's ive been to or played! there's something about packing a club with all recess bands (whom kicked most serious ass!!!) that sits at the forever fine spot in my belly. me good at reflecting.ahhh.

most of you in recessville will be super excited to know that the crumbs shall have recess do theyre next full length! they will travel to austin,tx to record for it in august.no release date as of now but one will be posted in a week or 2 so you can get yer penny's in order.also look for a 7" by south florida's kings of not-so-new stuff that will also be on cd that will also include the alien girl (recess#15)

civic minded five get jumped in!

damp ink dont mean shit,so i announce the newest recess act.hailing from the city of sin,greed,blasphemy & untaxable twinkies,civic minded five say no to un-taxable vegas snack cakes and concentrate on pole vaulting the rock up and over this cess pool of boring crapolio! translation: civic minded five are good and recess will put out a full length later this year or (most likely) early next year. they just put out a self released cd (recess sells it too! good for you .hoooray for us).no sneak previews or tentative title on album as of now,although if they ask me i will name theyre record "civic minded five get like totally gnarly dude" LP. luckily they have good ideas of theyre own.

a funeral & a baby shower in one weekend!

well as most of you know ,rock band known as F.Y.P will be no longer, and to kick off the celebration there will be the "rarely believable,oh yea right" last show june 17th at the showcase theater in corona,ca. the almighty god-like berzerk,the sketchy with sanity like four letter words,and twinkie haters civic minded five will pop the champagne (pronounced shaum-pog-knee). the strange thing is the very next day the new damage called "toys that kill" (not to be mistakin with the FYP sound but does contain the players) will play the first show at the pch club in wilmington w/berzerk,cm5, & jag offs.go.

prices schmiches youve prolly already noticed the increased mailorder prices for most the recess stuff.its been on the "lets consider it" boat for quite awhile now but for silly reasons such as the good ol'"weve never increased mailorder prices since recess started in 1990".thats just plain dumb,especially considering the fact that theres been a crapload of postage increases,pressing plant increases,printing,shit lets just say every motherfucker raised they're prices on theyre precious crap.so there. weve been struggling to keep in business the last 3 years and the last thing we need is vanishing recess.correct?prices go into effect as of now,but as of jan 1st 2000 we will send back $ and yer order if theres not enough.so i guess what im sayin' is that you can act like a braindead buffooniac that forgot to take the ritilan,or maybe even pretend that you didnt know about the price increase and only enclose enough to cover the old prices.if your envelope is postmarked before 2000 than your in the clear.,but dont be surprised if yer package is addressed to "the cheap ass retard"

in sad news: evan cohen,cool ass bassist for furious george but the more i type and the more you read i will soon hafta write ex-cool ass bassist for furious george because he quit.ok?so evan quit due to personal reasons(thats all you get) but no hard feelings seem to be in the air.i will later on in this fabulous newslitter sing the theme for different strokes(fact!did you know that alan thicke of growing pains and thicke of the night fame,wrote and recorded and sang that damn song?!?) so now evans gonna concentrate on his writing most notably his baby "i was a murder junkie"-the last days of g.g. allin which will be in stores may 25th i believe. and george and michael are looking for a new bassist,which theyve prolly already found so stop emailing them,maybe.once they find the boy who bought the wonka bar with the golden ticket they will begin to record the 2nd furious george full length.i think you might be able to count on an e.p. soon,it depends.

mike quincy punx is back in the band! put it this way,i told bob q punx that mike would be back in about 2 weeks,just like a say everytime that bast quits the great Quincy punx band.this time,i'll admit,he went blue in the face for slightly longer,but ya gotta love that he eventually returned.he's too damn good at that drum shit,too damn funny,too damn sweet,and just too damn quincy punx for his own mothers good.so they will be playing shows now regionally in the comforts of the twin cities and touring this summer on the recess tour,and possibbly other short tours.if you havent picked up therye last album "nutso smasho" than do so,i say it everytime...deal with it missy!
